“Matters of the Heart”

February is Celebrated Nationally as American Heart Month

Maria Parham Medical Center, a Duke LifePoint Hospital, and Northern Carolina Cardiology will host a Lunch & Learn program on “Matters of the Heart” on Friday, February 17th.  Speakers will be Dr. Melissa Daubert, Cardiologist with Northern Carolina Cardiology; Janice Satterwhite, RN, CDE, Patient Educator for Maria Parham; and Erin McIntyre, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program Director for Maria Parham.  A complimentary lunch will begin at 11:30 AM in the hospital classroom, and the presentation will begin at Noon in the auditorium.  The program will cover basic information about the heart, some of the most common cardiac illnesses and injuries, how to live healthier when you have been diagnosed with one of these, and the rehabilitation options available to someone with cardiac concerns.

Please plan to come if you have an interest in learning about heart health or would like to find out more about Northern Carolina Cardiology.  There will be an interactive time after the presentations, and the panel will address any questions that you may have.  If you are planning on attending, please call or email Lee Anne Peoples by 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 16 so that we can have an accurate headcount for the meal.  She may be reached at (252) 436-1116 or by email at Leeanne.Peoples@LPNT.net.  Leave a voicemail if she is not available, and you will be counted on for lunch if your message is left by the deadline.  You may not receive a confirmation phone call.
