Maria Parham Holds Second Annual Food Challenge

As part of Maria Parham Medical Center’s observance of National Hospital Week this week, the second Annual “Maria Parham Food Challenge” was held Monday. Employees entered dishes in one of three categories—appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The participation was good, and the judges had a hard time choosing winners. In the end, a winner in each of the categories was chosen, as well as an Overall Winner, which was the dish receiving the highest score of all. Shown left to right are Margaret Loyd, event host; Tonya Jones, winner in the Entrée Category with “TJ’s Sausage and Apple Quiche”; Mike Noble, winner in the Appetizer Category with “WVA Pregame Requirement”; Norma Bradsher, winner in the Dessert Category with “Mocha Brownies topped with Fudge and Fleur de sel”; Pat Baldauf and Marquerite Jefferson, event hosts. In addition to winning the Dessert Category, Bradsher also won the Overall Category.
