October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Free Event Held for Women at Maria Parham to Celebrate
To celebrate October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, FREE clinical breast exams will be offered at Maria Parham Medical Center on Thursday, October 27th from 5 PM until 7 PM. Women who are interested in receiving this exam should come into the front entrance of the hospital, and they will be directed further from there.
Healthcare practitioners from Warren County Free Clinic; Rural Health Group; Warren Vance Community Health Center; Premier Women’s Health Professionals, PA; Henderson Family Medicine Clinic; Maria Parham Medical Center and others will be there to assist. Additional follow-up and resources will be provided if the physical exam indicates that further testing is needed. Education on self breast exams will be made available, and each participant will receive a gift bag. Refreshments will be served.
